Abandoned Cart Tracking
Overview
ProStores Abandoned Cart Tracking offers a variety of information not normally available through the ProStores Administration interface. We capture customer information live, as it becomes available, so that you can follow up with customers who are abandoning their orders during the checkout process.
Key Features
Instant Customer Follow-Up
When a new lead is created (an abandoned cart which has an email address or phone number associated with it), we can automatically follow up with the customer for you. Simply setup the subject and the body of the email that you wish to be sent to your potential customers, and we will handle the rest. This gives you the option to provide a promotion code or other incentive to encourage your lost customers to return and complete their order.
Point Point Where Customers Are Dropping Out
Discover where your customers are dropping out during the checkout process (ie. Billing Options, Invoice, etc). This information can help you to determine exactly why your customers are abandoning their order. If, for example, the majority of your customers are dropping out on the Invoice, it may be due to your shipping rates not matching the original estimates, and your potential customers are discouraged from completing their order due to increased costs.
Retain Customer Information
View customer information such as name, address, phone number, and email address - regardless of the checkout type. This means that if your customers are checking out as Guests, we can still record their customer information. If the customer drops out of the checkout process at any point after entering these details, we will track these carts as Leads, meaning we have either a email address or a phone number that you can follow up with.
View At-A-Glance Lost Sales Reports
Total lost sales information. We track the total amount of sales that have been lost due to cart abandonment and we break it down into cart status categories.
Decipher Between Hot And Cold Leads
Daily and instant reports on Lead carts which were abandoned. These features are optional. Call 877.696.3475 For More Details

- Lead Past carts with an e-mail address or phone number
- Confirmed All confirmed carts
- Archived Set aside carts you no longer wish to view

Abandoned Cart Tracking Installation Instructions - Step of
Login to your ProStores Store Administration.
Browse to Store Design -> Page Template Manager in your left navigation.
In the `Theme` Section of your Page Template Manager, click on the 'Header' template.
When prompted to Set a Baseline, click the 'Save' button.
Ensure that the 'Source Editor' tab is active and selected. You should see a text box with code in it.
Locate the </head> tag, it should be near the top of the textbox. If you cannot find it, try using CTRL+F on your keyboard, and searching for it.
Click the 'Save and Publish' button at the bottom of the page.
That's it! Begin configuring your settings in the Abandoned Cart Tracking Manager.
